O, remember, my son, and learn wisdom in thy youth;

_yea, let all thy doings be unto the Lord,
_and whithersoever thou goest let it be in the Lord;
_yea, let all thy thoughts be directed unto the Lord;
_yea, let the affections of thy heart
_be placed upon the Lord forever.
Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings,
_and he will direct thee for good;
_yea, when thou liest down at night
_ lie down unto the Lord,
_that he may watch over you in your sleep;
_and when thou risest in the morning
_let thy heart be full of thanks unto God;
_and if ye do these things,
_ye shall be lifted up at the last day.
