2 Nephi 18:18–22

Behold,
_I and the children
_whom the Lord hath given me
_are for signs and for wonders
_in Israel from the Lord of Hosts,
_which dwelleth in mount Zion.

And when they shall say unto you:
_Seek unto them that have familiar spirits,
_and unto wizards that peep and mutter—
_should not a people seek unto their God
_for the living to hear from the dead?

To the law and to the testimony;
_and if they speak not according to this word,
_it is because there is no light in them.

And they shall pass through it hardly bestead and hungry;
_and it shall come to pass that when they shall be hungry,
_they shall fret themselves,
_and curse their king and their God,
_and look upward.

And they shall look unto the earth and behold trouble,
_and darkness,
_dimness of anguish,
_and shall be driven to darkness.
