It is interesting that while Coriantumr was recovering from his near-death experience during the war with Shiz he began reflecting on the warning he had received from the prophet, Ether. Moroni wrote the following:
"It is amazing that two million men had been slain who once stood in the ranks of Coriantumr. If we counted the wives and children the figure would probably be over eight to ten million. A similar number would have undoubtedly been slain among those who considered themselves Coriantumr's enemies."
