“Ether”

George Reynolds, Janne M. Sjodahl

Seth, the son of Shiblom, was made a prisoner of war for the remainder of his life. The entire period covered by these paragraphs was one of wicked governments, rebellions, war and rejection of divine messengers.

AHAH

Ahah was the son of Seth. He died in captivity.

ETHEM

Ethem, a descendant of Ahah's son in Ether 1:9. In his day prophets foretold the destruction of the people, unless they should repent. Being rejected, the prophets withdrew, and the unbelievers were left without the inspired word of God.

AHAH

Ahah is Egyptian. It was the name of a watchman at the gates of one of the many gods of Egyptian mythology.

MORON

Moron, the son of Ethem, was deprived of one-half of his Kingdom by rebels. Twice he was forced to fight for his crown. The second war was ended with the rebels victorious. Moron was made a prisoner and died in captivity.

CORIANTOR

Coriantor was born and died in captivity. Prophets were again heard in the land. They predicted the utter destruction of the Jaredite Kingdom, and the coming of another people, referring to the descendants of Lehi and Mulek, "after the manner in which He brought their fathers." That is, across the sea.

ETHER

Ether was the son of Coriantor, who died in captivity.
