What a joyful moment! Certainly the Savior of the world is a happy Person. He knows and lives a fulness of joy. So finally—for the first and only time in all of scripture—we read that Jesus “did smile upon them,” and he “did smile upon them again.” And they were radiant, with his glory enveloping them with a whiteness and brilliance exceeding anything earthly, for surely they had transcended the bounds of earth, penetrated the veil, and basked in heavenly light.
