Because of our faith, the Savior’s joy is full in us. Let us remember that we are the work and glory of our Savior and our Heavenly Father (see Moses 1:39). We bring to the Father and the Son great joy when we exercise our faith. On the basis of faith, we are able to receive greater blessings. We truly please God by our faith (see Hebrews 11:6). Faith is the foundation of our righteousness and the first principle of gospel living. It is faith that moves us to action. As we spiritually exert ourselves, our faith gives us the power to do all things—and the Lord rejoices. Thus we can bring joy to our Savior as we increase in faith.
Memories: My Joy is Full
Do we ever think about bringing joy to our Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ? It seems to me as a child I always wanted to please my mother. I wanted to bring her happiness. As children of God we can bring joy to our Heavenly Father and Savior by our faith, through repentance (see D&C 18:13), and by our help in bringing about the return of His lost sheep (see Luke 15:7). The joy of the Father and Son is in us, Their children. Such is Their work and glory (see Moses 1:39). Why? Because each soul is precious (see D&C 18:10). We start to feel this joy as we become more like our Savior. Alma did (see Alma 29:9–10; 36:24). The sons of Mosiah did (see Mosiah 28:3). (Ed J. Pinegar)
