This explanation stresses that Yahweh reserves the use of the interpreters until he commands it so that Yahweh will be with the man who uses them. It is Yahweh’s power, not man. The seer is not a translator and should not be confused as one. His function is much more than reading words; his function is revealing Yahweh. It is by revealing Yahweh and his will that the seer “becometh a great benefit to his fellow beings.” (See commentary accompanying Alma 37:21–25.)
